Who The Hell is Ruby Bell?

Initially, I came upon the name of Ruby Bell from a 1940's client list and felt kindred to it years ago. As a writer I considered the name as a possible character for a story I was doing, which ended up taking a back seat to life experiences. As irony would have it, those experiences propelled a necessity of invention which birthed the idea for this very work.
As I began to write the handbook with the realization of the possibility it would actually be read by others, I penned the name of Ruby Bell as a fluke. I wanted to have some anonymity in the event the piece would be read by my ex! The truth is, now, it matters not.

As I began to write this work, I realized I also needed to create an alternate voice that would speak to me in a powerful and uncensored way beyond my own head noise. She became my alter ego. Ruby's voice as luck would have it, takes a no non-sense approach to issues with a velvet glove. She's a brilliant listener with a ready mind able to quickly and effectively translate emotions and facts of emotions into purposeful action. She is vibrant, amusing and speaks to me with priceless honesty. We have much in common, her and I, but Ruby has an abandon I was lacking in order to move beyond the blockage of pain I felt crippled by.

Now the mystery of Ruby is a poignant vision with an amazing love story, which I am thoroughly enjoying the telling of, as I create and evolve her beautiful enchanting world.
Beyond the essence of her character as a reference in me; metaphorically the ring of a bell is an emoting and enduring wake up call and ruby is color of love itself. So I was able to find even deeper meaning and purpose by her employ.

The truth is I never wanted nor ever intended to write a book for the broken heart! I never wanted to have a broken heart in the first place! I mean no one does! In the second place, it isn't even in my nature to be anything but a joyful person, fully engaged in bliss and championing hope and pleasure in others. But well, these things happen as life is dynamic and diverse as well as ever expanding. So, my goal was to reach deeper and illuminate the experience, which by default helped to create ease for others in my discoveries.
It has brought me unspeakable joy to have created something that has found real value.

and so ...
It is with great pleasure to let you all know, my unassuming little hand book has now become a part of a much bigger project!
It is a foundation with small mighty legs that has evolved into a movie, with the basic content as it's premise.
In the meantime, I'm keeping the handbook accessible to all of you during creation/production for a limited time, until my producers tell me to take it down.
There is much more work to be done, including the piece I'm currently working on
"How to "Not" Break a Heart"  (required reading for the next guy) ...
